It usually takes quite a long time for me to update my journals here on dA. I realized my last update was almost a year ago and thought it's time to write about what I've been up to.

Apart from work, hitting the gym, going out once in a while and sleeping, lately I don't seem to have time for a lot of things. Actually, the fact that I'm writing this journal is a little miracle itself as I'm either too tired or too busy. Anyway, enough of the whining...

I had another trip to Finland about three weeks ago and got to shoot at Tuska Festival. Except from the awfully hot weather, I had a great time. It was nice to see *middeneaht and some old friends again As for the bands, in between running from one stage to another I tried to watch as many of them as I could. Photographically and musically, my favorites were Devin Townsend Project & Anneke van Giersbergen, Arch Enemy, Spiritual Beggars, Katatonia, Blind Guardian, Kvelertak (best thing out of Norway lately), Amorphis and Meshuggah (if you got the chance to see them live don't miss it). Of course, there's a lot to write about the festival but I think it deserves a proper review rather than a few words for some of these bands and a journal is not the place to do that. So, I'm not gonna get into that now. But if you like Finland, if you've never been there and want to experience the Finnish metal scene, I suggest you to keep an eye on Tuska website and plan your trip according to the festival dates. Line-up and the atmosphere never disappoints.
